Buying & Selling
How buying and selling crypto works on Bitkaya
- You contact us via Live Chat or email and indicate that you wish to buy crypto currency (e.g. USDC).
- We send you an invoice for your purchase of USDC.
- You pay the invoice to our bank account.
- Once the money is received we transfer the USDC to your wallet.
- You contact us via Live Chat or email indicating the amount of crypto you wish to sell (e.g. USDC).
- We send you a purchase order via email to confirm the trade.
- You send the crypto to our wallet address.
- Once the crypto is received, we send the money to your bank account.
We currently facilitate Bitcoin (BTC) and USDC on the Solana network (USDC-SOL). Other coins are on request and on a best effort basis.
Currently, offering those coins isn't economically feasible because of the manual processing required. We are continuously looking for ways to bring more coins to the platform efficiently, but this will take time.
In the mean time, you could use decentralised exchanges to trade into the altcoins of your choice.
There are many crypto wallet providers available, all having their own advantages and disadvantages. For smaller amounts we find to be Trust Wallet a good all-round wallet, while for bitcoin-only we like Blink.
For larger amounts of crypto we strongly advise you to opt for more secure solutions such as Ledger.
Compared to other service providers on the islands our fees are actually very moderate. Although we continuously strive to lower fees for our customers through automation, at the current state of the financial system in the Caribbean, a lot of manual processing is unfortunately necessary, which adds to the cost of a transaction.
In order to save on fees, we suggest you combine multiple smaller transactions into a bigger one.

Crypto Deposits & Withdrawals
How to get crypto from and to your wallet
Depending on the blockchain your crypto assets are on, for making transactions you need so called 'gas' to pay for the transfer. Often this gas has to be paid in the cryptocoin native to the block chain. You can buy small amounts of gas top-ups through our platform.
Unfortunately not. There's nothing we can do, as we are unable to control your wallet.
No. With great freedom comes great responsibility. Alway double check the address before sending, as there is no way to recoup the crypto once sent.
